Taking stock... periodic inventory systems.
Just like that, in the proverbial blink of the eye, the exams are finished. A caustic finale to a tentative first University semester. I'm actually pretty happy, in hindsight, with the fact that my 5 papers were over in 4 days. Much better than having it drag out interminably. The exams were pretty tough... I feel throughly examined.
Big ups to the monster econs paper. Ate us all for lunch. Like I've been telling Spenser, Kent Ridge Econs > Cambridge Econs. Anytime. And the math paper was... easy as can be but yet still way out of my grasp. Why did I even take history, was the consensus between Inami, me and his friend (who was in my tutorial) in those 15 minutes of dread before the paper. Thank god I had one open book and that stats was pretty straightforward.
It's been a weird semester. At times I've surprised myself with my drive, at other times I lapse back into driftwood mode. I've been distracted (and rightfully so) by events close to my heart. And but for someone pulling me aside and planting my ass down, I don't think I would have had the heart to get down to serious mugging as the exams drew closer.
I sometimes worry that I'm being too anti-social, in terms of school, not joining a CCA or something. Best to have a wide social circle, no? Ah we shall wait and see.
All-in-all it's been a pretty standard Gabriel semester. Staying within the comfort zone, play it safe, play it slow, stay within the fog-of-war. Softly, softly ... ...
So now I've got one-and-a-half months ahead of me. So much time and so few things.
