Today was Math. Okay. couldn't complete many questions. there goes the 80 mark target. heh.

So I went for lunch after hanging out in the scc. It was gughan's birthday today and you know what that means. After luring him in to the room, we proceeded with the .. formalities. Let's say it was a bit creative this time around, involving hair spray, a water balloon and a pin. Gughan left the scc with his pants drenched, and with golden tints in his hair. Heh.

Khai Peter Van Jiaren and I went for lunch at thompson plaza pizza hut. Khai and Peter proceeded to spill soup all over the counter. Bloody useless buggers. Maybe I shouldn't have pushed their hands while they were ladling the soup out. 5 of us went up to video ezy cos peter wanted to rent movies. After a while alethea came in and then this dude went out of the shop, and then the only customers in the shop were from cj. heh. After minutes of aimless drifting we finally decided to go cut our hair.

We all went to the mat barber downstairs where Khai and I went to get the same hairstyle as peter. Heh. The three of us were sitting side by side in the barber's shop, while van and jiaren were having a good laugh at our various stages of... going from hirsute to baldy. I don't know about me la, but khai does look a little weird with the new cut. He kept looking in the mirror and insisting that he looked like a monk. Khai prolly didn't know at the time but it took all the willpower within me to not say 'yeah, you do look like a bleeding monk, khai!' but instead assure him that he didn't.

Man, I'm nice! =)

Oh yeah the lineup for the next Lions tour looks a little bit more promising. looks like woodward ditched some of his prejudice and was fairer this time around. but would've been nice to put Hodgson at no. 10. He's been playing well for England and the Lions recently. Kicks well too. oh well. Let's hope they at least put up some kind of a fight unlike the last time.

The lines are drawn
and they are not chalk.
The etch and burn deep your skin
and change who you are.

I PROMISE I will study after I blog. I promise myself.

Econs was bad. Really bad. One and a half page essay. Will probably get like.. 2 marks for it. Didnt know what I was doing for case study and mcq. Die. I think they will force me to drop econs. Then again serves me right for sleeping through econs lectures and daydreaing through tutorials.

Yesterday instead of studying I watched the Lions thrash some town team from nz. They finally looked convincing for the first time on the tour. 109-6. 17 tries. They were doing it for fun. When the huge lock forward gets a ball from a kickoff and runs 90 metres, taken down only just metres from the try line you know it's gonna be a romp.

Last minute studying through the night. I hate it. the feeling sucks bad that's what happens to procrastinators and slackers. Urgh. Frustrated.

Countdown:
17 hours to Math
21 hours to NE ( must study!!! )
45 hours to PC
48 hours to end of mid years!
4 days to soccer.

cant wait.

The tale of saturday, sunday and the weak day.

In the midst of the exam season. season? its not a season its more like a ... plague. The exam plague. blight. definitely not season. Season connotes good things, things to be looked forward to ... My, this year's EPL season is going to be a blast! or The christmas season is my favourite time of the year not Exams season sucks. D'ya'know'ad'i'mean?

stepping out of that little 'stream of consciousness' there, I realised that i'm pretty much fucked. I've been approaching this mid years the same i approach any mid years. studying like one day or two before the actual paper. I was supposed to use the last three days to really revise econs. But i wasted it away.

I guess in my heart I wanted to be fair to Lit and History. If I gave both of them only one day of revision, why should I be so nice to econs? Econs sucks eggs anyway.

History was a tragedy that almost turned to be actually a disaster. If not for some awesome, skillful, intuitive spotting. All my 6 years as a history student i;ve been spotting for every history exam. HECK, mara and jon con even helped us spot for the O levels. I think it's standard practice for History in sg. Spottistry. What a kewl word. but it doesn't have the ring of a .... bouncebackability or a thingamajig.

Went to school today. Greeted with Firmin's usual greeting. "Gabriel Olsen what are you doing here. You better go home la, you come here to study also no use!" Ostensibly he was getting to the fact that I never study productively in school. Heck if he knew me better he would know that that is when i'm at my most productive. scary huh. Yeah did like 3 maths questions on numerical methods and then gave up. Went to the grandstand, and started batting my football against the steps of the grandstand. My brand new soccer ball is now in tatters. It's black, brackish and it has these thin cuts all over it a la papercuts. I abuse my balls. Went home afterwards.

Hmmm. I just realised that I was supposed to write something for weiqi by today. heheh sorry weiqi. after my math exam lor. Thank god for math man. I really think that gp and math are the only two subjects i'll pass this time round. Sigh. And I just realised today after talking with Wing that the college normally bands the J2s after mid years going by their mye results. I KNEW i should have studied for this one. Argh. What a bastard.

Oh new councillors. Heh. I wanna say congratulations to all but i have to settle for ... Congratulations for some of you. Not all of you are going to love council and not regret joining.

Psst. It's almost 4 years old already. What a monster we've bred! Keep up the good work guys.

It's been an okay week i guess.

Started out with a failed attempt on monday to sustain a fruitful day. Didn't do much studying.

Class Chalet for the next two days. played cards, taught reina geri and wing how to play bridge. How can you not know how to play that game? It's a bloody crime I tell you. Got a blister on my finger while fanning the charcoal during the barbecue. Didn;t eat too much, helped out with the cooking, drank a bit. At night we watched White Noise, then went to sleep for a few hours. We lazed around the whole day before I went home.

Elects Camp.

A whole load of planning. But it's good to see some level of competence in the incumbent J1 councillors. Felt that I was a bit redundant there, along with the Jon Kaying and Charissa. The teachers were on top of the situation. Funnest part was day two where my group of councillor elects were supposed to plan the set-up for Dinner. The Formal Western 4 course dinner. Took up a lot of time discussing and arguing at the start. In the end they rushed it and somehow made it. The Dinner was a success. Kudos to the entertainment team for a simple yet entertaining programme for the night. The new President of the Student Council along with the three VPs were elected that day. No comment. Almost fought just after, ironically, the prayer service. No Comment.

Took the bus home with Cheryl and Peter. WEnt Home, unpacked and slept.

One whole wasted week. Mid years are 10 days away, no make that 9. It's scary. I'm not where I want to be. Guess that's what you get after drifting for one and a half years. A levels is a different ball game. I really don't know how I am going to make it.

That Pact I sealed with Peter? It's coming back on again. I'll make sure of it. Tomorrow I start again. No wasted time. Focus all my energy and will onto one objective. I can't afford not to. I can't afford to escape the System. Neither am I going to drift through it.

But where do I start? Somewhere. Anywhere. It's better than not starting. Sometimes you just cross it in and hope your center-forward gets on the end of it.
