Today was one of those super-hyper action-packed days. During PE we played handball. In the first match i scored 2! goals. :D Then in the next match, it was kinda deadlocked at 0-0 or soemthing, with yangwei the opposing keeper blocking out every shot. Then the guy who was keeping time said one-minute left. So i called for the ball from Max, beat one defender and shot past yw. Goal! :D haha.

During recess i was running around, had so many things to do! My CCA was organising a car wash to raise funds, and i was pleading the teachers to help by entrusting their beloved cars into our inexperienced hands. Heehee. Cont'd doing tt after school, b4 my match in the inter-class football started. Also went to see Miss Mathews as i had volounteered to be the Emcee for the History 2172 quiz tomorrow.

We faced 412 first. They have a really good reputation ( in terms of football), and everyone expected them to *spank* us. However, we played superbly, every single one of us, and managed to hold them to a 0-0 draw. Yaay! While walking off the field after the match the captain of 412 was scolding one of his players "See lah, underestimate them, now look what happened!"

Our next match was against 403. We were going all out for a win, to get us into the winners' pool. However, they scored very early in the game as most of the team was commited to attack and they beat us on the counter-attack. sigh*

But we scored before the end of the first half, courtesy of chun xiang, whom i had injured earlier in the day playing handball. :(
He latched on to a rebound after the keeper spilled it, if i remember correctly.
One really heart-stopping moment for me was when i came off my line to clear a cross, but the attacker got to it first. I continued hounding him for the ball until both of us were halfway between the goal line and the halfway line, before i finally poked the ball out. Phew.

After that me, daryl and gerard went to Esso to get drinks. We hung around for a while, making discriminatory jokes about a certain colour. :) Aft. that I took 132 with gerard, where we talked about the good old times we had in the old 2e1. Sigh. Really miss those guys. I mean, i see them everyday, but i miss being with them, in the same class, that sort of thing...

So there we were, sitting snugly in the middles pool. The 2nd round of games are to be played this thursday. Think we have a chance to win it, and get 5th place overall. *poders thoughtfuly*

Played football today with classmates and a few others. 'Practise' for Inter-class football tournament this tuesday. I Was sooooo clumsy and awkward... Really out of touch. But made one nice save though. somebody's shot was deflected and i was going one way, that flung myself the other way down on the ground and just got my fingers to the ball. har. earlier on i made a one-on-one save from dwayne. Dived at his feet and stuck out my hand instinctively and deflected the ball away at point blank range. And Lukas really surprised me. He's a really good defender, very determined and dogged. He was very good at man-marking salman!!! no exaggeration! ( salman if u r reading this i apologise!) I was kinda invisible throughout the match, except for a few runs down the wing. har. But somehow my passes never connect. I think I am going to play keeper? again? sigh.
Perdana is an absolute iron wall. He's sooo bloody muscular. I think whoever runs into him needs to be stretechered off. Kong was good, only a little unfit. Gcx as usual was running around like a barbarian( no offence),Noel was finisheing off very good opportunities tcx was working hard in midfield and defence, and mathew still needs to work on his finishing;) A bit too indecisive, tends to take his time on the ball.. Though i may not say this to his face, I have confidence that matt will do us proud. :D
whoa. i didnt notice how much i wrote... got carried away i guess. We really want to do well this year for our inter-class football tournament!!!

A few days ago my classmates and i got back some test on our personality. I was described as an SI, someone who is steady/supportive, and Inspirational. Hmm. One of the most common types. According to the report, I am more supportive and 'inspirational' when under pressure. Im not so sure.... I dont fully trust this test, even though it HAS made some fairly accurate statements.

Argh! Gonna fail my chinese bi-weekly test!

Just finished studying 3 chapters for bi-weekly languages test. Really sux. Then I watched a Tennis match between Andy Roddick of the USA and El-Ayouani of Morocco. After 5 hours 1 minute and 86 games, Roddick triumphed, something like 6-4, 6-7, 6-4,6-7, 21-19. Wow.

What was really funny was when they were tied at 18-18 in the rubber set, the two of them handed their rackets to two ball boys and let them play while they watched on. Even the Umpire was laughing. In the end, neither deserved to lose. :( And the moroccan guy was busy chomping away on Bananas. lol.

Listening to Return to Innocence by Enigma. Really cool... really really cool!try to listen to it somehow. I'll bet you have heard it before...

Hmm... Got off to a good start today. Had a solid 11 hours of sleep. Pig. Had P.E. As usual, somehow we were supposed to play games but ended up watching a crappy video. I swear. I am getting Disillusioned with PE. argh. And then a the end of the lesson, Irwan promises us that we will get to play Handball next week. I was like ' Yeah, right.' sigh.
Yesterday was our Inaugaration ceremony. Not bad. Lotsa singing, cheering, esp for our exco members, Mark YW and tcx. Made lotsa noise. Sec 1s looked at us as if we were schizo. maybe we are?

This sux.

Yesterday was such a busy day. If you have been reading my prev. posts, I participated in this YVIP programme, a volounteer programme. Yes, and yest. was the sort of 'Graduation Ceremony". received my Cert. of participation and photos from the camp. They showed a video of the camp. And I was very embarassed of my 'cameos' in the video. sigh. groan. more onomatopoeia.

aft. that i went to my little cousin Keith's house for his Bday party. Has grown so much. Keith I mean. My mother made a coffee-chocolate Mud cake. Nice. My cousins and I went down to play football. Because the ground was rather wet, the two little boys Leroy and Keith played very well. Or perhaps its because the rest of us were slipping and sliding. Maybe both.

Next Morning, woke up early for Cathecism class. Played games. Whacko. I was surprised at the efficiency and willingness to participate on the part of the class. We took only 5 minutes to get organised as opposed to last year where we always took half the session. Maybe 'cos we are gonna get confirmed soon and we are FINALLY getting our act together. Or maybe that was because they really wanted to play a game? Only heaven knows.

Listening to *inhale....* Hold Me Thrill Me Kiss Me Kill Me by U2. *pant pant* go.. download.. it... *collapses*

Too tired to post yesterday. Played football with Gcx and Ben . Got hit by gcx on the back of the head. We dont call him barbarian for no reason. :)
After that i went home by taking a bus to Chua Chu kang . As i passed through the estate, i felt this wave of nostalgia coming over me. Spent 7 good years growing up there. :( Luckily i did not see my old house or i might have broke down and bawled like a baby. Nah, just joking Not one to cry that easily.
We had some carrer quest too. Basically the guy just talked cock for 50 minutes then let us do a quiz. We will see the results next week. I think I am destined to become a butcher. :)

Wow. Gerard and Bean were nominated for this High-5 award thingy awarded to students who display great promise in studies and CCA. When Roger approached the both of them during recess saying something like " You two guys are nominated for the High 5 thing" , I immediately assumed the worst. But I cleared my mind of images of Bean and Gerard dancing along to kiddy songs on national TV soon enough. Shudder. Note the Capital S. Fortunately there was no gag reflex involved.

After that was Eng lesson. Slack. Fam returned us our Commonwealth essays, and we were supposed to go through our friends' essays. In the end me gaius and kong ended up planning for our next LAN outing @ CNY. haha... and began discussing all the new CS maps and all..... Lol. Only stopped when Fam walked right up to us.

After that we had A maths where Mrs Tan tore up not ONE, but TWO pieces of my work in 25 minutes. Somebody get that man a Toiger. I meant Tiger.I meant me. She said something about me having a fast mind but hands that couldn't keep up or something to that extent. :) Id rather have slow hands than a slow head/mind.

I then had a moral dilemma aft. school. Whether or not to go for Maths enrichment. Decided not to. Slx.

Btw, I am listening to this song from Sesame street. Hahaha, Its " I don't want to live on the moon" And Ernie is singing on it. I remember watching Sesame street as a kid. Memories!

Had P.E. today. Groan. Irwan surprised us with a 2.4 km run. Argh. I shall decline to reveal my timing, due to obvious reasons. :) Then we had height and weight taken. But Gaius was excited to get his -quote- " Height, weight, length and circumference" taken. In that case I bet he would have been "underweight" or something like tt ;) sorry gaius, but im glad for you that you bought a new mech. pencil and moved on with life.... I know it's a traumatic experience, but you gotta move on..... anyway, I was measured at 182 cm. Wah, i was like saying, ok... Then my weight. Shock! 82 f***ing Kgs!!! Argh. damn heavy bones. Grr ;) I guess i gained lotsa muscle... :P
Later in class we were typically rowdy ( the back row gang) and mrs tan complained about us ( Prakash Kong Shaun Me Gaius ) and said that we should be broken up. Hah! As if Fam wld be able to do tt!
I stopped over at the cheshire home( see prev. posts) to return some negatives i borrowed from Joanne for my project...
Then came home. And to my horror, the comp. monitor was out! argh! So me my sis and my mom went to courts to get one. We bought one and i had to carry it ALL the way home! Looks like with all that exercise, I sure can do a lot of pullups soon! :)

Listening to You know you're right by Nirvana. Angst per-son(g)ified. lol.

Today was rather fun... had ALL 9 subjects today.. *phew* Today during Social Studies class we had a mini-forum on the Education System in Singapore. I was one of the how-do-you-call-it, the ppl who sit in front and talk the most. Yeah. So we were talking about the usual crap, how rigid the system was, how to implement creative thinking. Then I spoke out loud and said something that went to the tune of this:
"Actually, it is most important to instill creativity at an early age, something around the formative years of 4 or 5 years old. So the most skilled teachers should be given to kindergarten kids. So Mrs Fam, perhaps you should go and teach at the Kindergarten level." !!!!!! AND, With a straight face! wahahah, it was sooo funny, the whole class was laughing, and Mrs Fam looked as if she wanted to bury her head in the sand AND strangle me at the same time!!! on my, i am so mean, yet so good! ;)

So the rest of the day passed rather uneventfully except a 2158 test where i found that my Fingers weren't the Fastest nor were they the First. There was also Pse period with Kwang, and Kong totally played him ! He had no retort at all. I swear, ppl like Kong, Shaun Sim, Prakash, Gaius and Me really add spice to the class.. And we form this ring around Lukas, who is incredibly hardworking and quiet.
We were filling out this kind of personal evaluation form for the Pse lesson and Kwang asked Weiqi to list out one of his flaws listed there. It was a tendency to not concentrate on his work fully. Then when Kwang asked why do you have that tendency, weiqi replied " I do not wish to say , those are private reasons. " Then I burst out without hesitation " He means reasons that are only known to his privates! " Haha, i know its lame, but at that moment, where everyone was still recovering from Kong's assault on Kwang, it really sent the class over the edge.
That was about all. Oh yeah, on the way home Gaius was complaining about his lost mechanical pencil and what he would do if he found out who 'stunned' it. Funny. Then we were reminded by Weiqi to write in the interactive story. Its a kind of Online interactive story, and its a parody of Lord of the rings with Characters including those from my former class of 2e1 and current class of 402. Its really good, with ppl like Me, Weiqi, Gaius, Gerard, Jonny, Yangwei, Max, Spenser contributing to it.We are up to " The Two Turbans" right now;). Im gonna go write in it now. Tata!

Today was mr first Bi-weekly chinese test. It is a chinese test that happens every 2 weeks for sec4 buggers. Its some kind of Legacy left behind by Brother Paul Rogers, the previous Principal of SJI. He's now in CJC. He has a large reputation in education circles, and had a reputation as(quote) " Bloody strict". He is schooled in the old school lasallian brother mould, but yet seems to be a very dynamic and modern man, according to some of my teachers who have talked to me about him. Wonder how SJI life was under him. He was the one who built our Performing Arts Centre.
Back to the test, i think i did quite well. Studied hard you know :) . I woke up at 4 this morning to study!!! And do you want to know how i was woken up? I'll tell you anyway. I Felt something scurrying across my chest, and casually flicked it away. I then opened my eyes, and lo and behold, there was a cockraoch on my chest. argh. But it's ok, I eventually Morteined the bloody little bugger. haha! There's that sadist in me! So for the next 2 hours i would feel as if something was crawling on me every once in a while. haha~. But after a while I just ignored the feeling and went on studying. Wait, i mean mugging. :)
So i think i did well considering that time ( and insects) was against me.

Today while on my way home at toa payoh mrt, i was sitting down and waiting for the train. Then this lady came up to me and asked me to explain to her what was written down on this sheet of paper she was holding. Seemed like some kind of pay slip or something. What struck me was, that she called me something to the equivalent of Little Boy. Hmmm.... Gaack.
oh, and tmr i have PE, WeEeeeEeEeeEe...!!!!!
.
.
but surely, they would just take our height and weight only. aww. damn. :'(

Weiqi REALLY feels like the mother of our class... hahaha Hope Weiqi doesn't do anything tomorrow to me... ;)
One thing I've learnt today. Electing KienJi as Class Chairman was a super-duper good idea. He was my Chairman of my sec 1 and 2 class... And it was very much due to him giving us such a free-and-easy time which helped us to bond so well as a Class. Building Bonds, Enhancing Unity! KJ keeps quiet most of the time and let's us do pretty much what we want, but make no mistake about it. When it really matters, KJ will stand tall and shut the class up. Good ol' KJ.
KienJi has to be the best chairman in the whole school. Perhaps maybe along with Gareth from 401. Those two ar..... one word to describe only... SLack! Wo00oo0p!

Have been downloading rather old songs for the last week or so... ... it is a rather refrreshing change from all the new songs nowadays... Found a treasure trove in Billy Joel... Some of his songs are kinda nice. E.g. For the Longest Time, Just the way you are... You ( yes, you ) should go check it out... I assure you you won't be disappointed...
anyway, today has been crap. Boring. Aack!

2nd day of school... slightly more serious then yest.
had chem prac, and we did a sort of revision on the commonly-deliberately-mispronounced Titration. I was surprised by myself as i could remember most of the procedures et al, while max beside me was positively lost. And mind you, it is normally the other way round. Perhaps a sign of things to come? haha. then we had maths lesson where the maths teacher with a sorry excuse of a paint-palette for a face made us sign some pledge thingy regarding our work .. so lame... But i hope it is not legally binding, because i probably will break every single clause of it. :) then we had an english lesson where the typically-incapable famster READ to us the intro of some aussie book the school made us buy.... i swear, our whole class is going to fail our o level english. then recess, then bio lesson. The first real lesson of the year. She dove straight into Genetics. But her teaching style has REALLY improved from last year. At least she doesnt use stupid OHPs anymore which bore us to sleep. Now she uses Powerpoint. had PSE lesson ( read: slack). End of story. Walked to the busstop aft that with Aston, Gaius, Weiqi Justin, Sara. Slacked until now.

yearg.... first day of school today. So SLACK! like, the first 3 periods were wasted by assembly, filling up forms and whatnot. Then we had not one, but 2 geog/ss lessons. Fam was really Rambling ok.... sometimes i just want to sleep in her class... sometimes i do just that. Then we had recess, only for me to foind out that there were new stalss and all. To quote mathew yeo, a suffering from chronic liverpoolitis, on his take of the reformatting of the canteen. " This health thing is going too far. There is a fruit drink stall in place of that stall that used to sell those fried stuff...." , along with a few expletives and vulgar expressions common to sufferers of liverpoolitis. Aft that was tmr, where we had to do kiddish stuff which i am inclined not to say out loud. Then we had chinese, where heng spent the first hoiur or so talking about how impt chinese was for the O's, and whatnot. He then went on to teahc the first lesson in his usual haphazard way.
Then I went home. Then I came online. Then i wrote here.
